Another Ebola patient ready for discharge – Health Minister says

According to an update today August 25 on the Ebola crisis in Nigeria, The Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu says one Ebola patient is ready to be discharged. He also said that the confirmed cases have reduced to thirteen. He explained that 14th case initially announced as positive turned out to be a false positive. Below are more updates…

1. Total number of deaths due to EVD (including the index case) remains 5.

2. Total number of EVD patients treated and discharged is 5. 

3. Total number of EVD patients currently under treatment in the isolation ward is now 3

4. One of the 3 persons currently under treatment is for imminent discharge after necessary protocols.
