According to tweets from Channel’s Television’s sports reporter Toyin Ibitoye, some NFF congressmen including the NFF president Aminu Maiguri and the NFF secretary Adamu Muazu have been detained by plain clothed SSS members.
The Nigerian Football Association meeting was billed to hold today August 26 in Abuja before the incident. Some congress members who went to seek their release were also arrested.
It would be recalled that Maigari was impeached in June over allegations of financial misappropriation. He was reinstated fortnight ago following directive from Deputy Secretary General of FIFA, Markus Kattner.
